Grooms Are Dropping Like Bouquets πŸ’ (Plus My Honest Book Reviews

Hey my fellow mystery lover!

She's Coming. So Is the Body Count.

Summer is here, and apparently so is wedding season β€” though if you've been following along, you probably guessed that weddings in my world tend to go sideways in the most deliciously deadly ways. πŸ₯‚β˜ οΈ

Let's get into it.

πŸ’ GROOMED FOR DEATH is coming for you!!!

(I honestly cannot believe we're this close. I get a little giddy every time I type the title.)

Wedding writer and amateur sleuth Mae Wilcox has spent the last six months doing what she does best β€” hiding. She's been tucking herself safely behind celebrity designers and ten-thousand-dollar wedding cakes, desperate to write stories just good enough to keep her job and stay off everyone's radar.

But the universe has other plans.

When grooms start dying, Mae is faced with an impossible choice: stay hidden from her past, or step out of the shadows, chase down the Groom Killer, and cross her fingers that she doesn't end up the next headline.

No pressure! 😬

πŸ“… Mark Your Calendars:

πŸ” July β€” An exclusive sneak peek lands right here in your inbox. You'll want to be on the list for that one.

πŸ“– September 2nd β€” We are back in full swing with chapter-by-chapter episodes of the complete novel. Think of it as your coziest fall reading ritual β€” a little mystery, a little mayhem, and a whole lot of fun.

Stay tuned. Stay cozy. And maybe don't RSVP to any weddings in the meantime. LOL.

πŸ“š What I've Been Reading (Honest Reviews From Someone Who DNFs Without Guilt)

Okay, I'll be upfront with you β€” my β€œDon't Bother” list is, unfortunately, always longer than my β€œYou've Got to Read This” list. These next few had promise, but not quite enough to pull me across the finish line. Here's my take:

πŸ“– Everyone in the Group Chat Dies by L.M. Chilton Kinda fun. Kinda depressing. It had an energy I wanted to love, but there was a dark edge running through it that just wasn't doing my mood any favors. If you're sensitive to language, I'd steer clear entirely. Not my cup of tea this time around, but I can see how it might land differently depending on your headspace. Verdict: Pass ❌

πŸ“– The Unwedding by Ally Condie This one had the most promise of the bunch, and I genuinely wanted to love it. Something about it just didn't grip me the way I hoped. I can't put my finger on exactly why β€” it simply didn't pull me forward the way a good mystery should. Disappointing, because the premise is right up my alley. Verdict: Reluctant Pass ❌ (But curious to hear if you finished it!)

πŸ“Ί You're Killing Me with Brooke Shields I had high hopes. I really did. The murders themselves are genuinely interesting β€” but the show keeps sidelining the mystery to focus on the two leads bickering. I don't need more useless fighting, I need clues. Give me the clues! Verdict: Skip It ❌

πŸ™‹ Now It's YOUR Turn

I am begging you β€” throw your recommendations my way! I'm dying (pun absolutely intended) to find something truly good to sink into this summer. A cozy mystery, a cute romance, I'm open. Hit reply and tell me what's on your nightstand right now. πŸ‘‡
